Watch Leonardo DiCaprio's Amazing Reaction To Getting His Name Engraved On His Oscar

We've been waiting many years for this moment.

"Do you do this every year? I wouldn't know."

Last night at the 88th Academy Awards, Leonardo DiCaprio received a rapturous standing ovation when he won Best Actor for his role in "The Revenant." After 5 Oscar nominations without any wins, many had predicted that this year would finally be Leo's year to take home Oscar gold. Which makes his reaction to seeing his Oscar get officially emblazoned with his name all the more amazing to watch.

After giving his speech and attending the winner's press conference to talk to the media, DiCaprio went to the Governors Ball, which is where the winners get their awards engraved with their names after the ceremony. Thanks to Variety, we have video proof of Leo's reaction in the moment — and it was pretty hilarious. Making small talk with the woman engraving his name, Leo comments on the internet meme culture that has widely spoofed his Oscar-less career (until now) — "Do you do this every year? I wouldn't know," he says. It's a wonderful interaction that's all the more enjoyable to watch when you take DiCaprio's amazing decades-long career into consideration. Watch the video below.

Here's to you, Leo!
