A popular viral video trend is skiing fails. For those who get a kick out of watching people attempt a stunt and fail miserably, there is plenty to find caught on camera by people taking a trip down the snowy slopes.
20-Year-old Nathan Harrison is a special case of fails by a skier, because his epic fail occurred not on the slopes, but in the ski resort parking lot. It was a mistake that would lead to his arrest.
The Utah skier arrived to the Brighton Ski Resort at around 10 am to the disappointing sight of a completely full parking lot. Officer Mark Curley, who had been working on a "secondary assignment" at the resort, and could hear the sound of a honking horn coming from Harrison's car. When he asked him about the meaning of the commotion, the clearly angry Harrison told Officer Curley that he had a season pass to ski and demanded to be allowed into the resort, despite there being no available parking spaces.
Curley and a resort parking attendant tried to direct Harrison out of the parking lot, but he refused to follow their instructions. Finally, the parking attendant had to slap the hood of his vehicle to get him to stop. When Curley went to open Harrison's door to ask him to exit the car, he then tried to pull the officer into the vehicle. Harrison began to violently swing his arms at Curley as the cop struggled to restrain him. When Curley finally managed to restrain him, Harrison retaliated by pushing the officer's face into the snow before reaching for his gun, which witness testimonies confirmed.
"I covered my firearm with one hand and was able to kick [Harrison] off of me," Curley said in his report.
According to FOX 13, Harrison was taken in (resisting his arrest in the process) on charges of aggravated assault, disarming a police officer, failure to stop at the command of law enforcement, disorderly conduct, failure to obey signs and interfering with an officer. He is currently being held at the Salt Lake County Jail.
So much for that season pass.
What do you think of Nathan Harrison? Is he a misunderstood young man whose season pass to the Brighton Ski Resort was unjustly dishonored, or is he an entitled little brat whose outrageous overreaction to a crowded parking lot deserves a long time out? Let us know in the comments below!
